What is PTC?

.

Paid-To-Click is an online unsustainable business model that draws huge amounts of online traffic from people aiming to earn from home. Paid-To-Click, or simply PTC websites act as middlemen between advertisers and consumers; the advertiser pays for displaying ads on the PTC website, and a part of this payment goes to the consumer when he views the advertisement.

The PTC business model is questionable, as fraudulent clicks have ramped up the expenses for advertisers.[1] With lawsuits filed against the internet search companies, the burden has been placed on Google, Yahoo and others to determine the valid clicks from the fraudulent ones.[2]

In order to combat this perception, some PTC websites, such as Neobux or cfast.net, have implemented measures to ensure that every click is legit. In fact, whenever it detects fraudulent activity, it notifies the advertiser as well as bans the fraudulent IP address.[3] It is common for some PTC sites to disappear overnight, statistics show around 95% of the sites are scamming people for their money. Some sources may refer the PTC business model as a Ponzi
